Trouble signing in with NHS login
Patientcentre uses NHS login to verify your identity. If you cannot sign in, the issue is usually related to your NHS login account rather than the Patientcentre app.
Follow the steps below.
I forgot my NHS login password
On the NHS login screen, select I have forgotten my password.
Follow the steps to reset it.
If you do not receive an email, check your junk folder.
If you still cannot reset your password, you will need to contact NHS login support directly. Patientcentre cannot reset NHS login passwords.
I am not receiving a security code
NHS login sends a security code by text message, email or through the NHS App depending on your setup.
Check that:
- Your mobile number is correct
- You have signal
- Your email is correct and not in junk
- Your authenticator app is working
If your contact details have changed, update them in your NHS login account settings.
If you are locked out due to too many attempts, wait and try again or contact NHS login support.
I have changed my phone number
If you changed your phone number and cannot receive security codes, you must update your details through NHS login.
Patientcentre does not manage NHS login contact details.
My account is locked
After several failed attempts, NHS login may temporarily lock your account.
Wait and try again later or follow the unlock instructions shown on screen.
Important
Patientcentre cannot:
- Reset NHS login passwords
- Change NHS login mobile numbers
- Unlock NHS login accounts
- Verify your identity
For help with NHS login itself, contact NHS login support via the NHS website.
